Today FM’s Dave pranked by Dermot & RTÉ’s The Fear

Dave Moore – of Today FM’s afternoon show “Dermot & Dave” – has become the victim of an elaborate prank for RTÉ’s hidden camera show “The Fear”.

The show, which starts its new series tonight at 10:25pm on RTÉ 2, enlisted the help of Dave’s co-host Dermot Whelan to do a video shoot for their show sponsors McCain.

In the shoot, Moore is asked to dress up as a potato, a sunflower and an oven chip while exerting himself physically and reading lines – unaware that everyone else present including the “director” Terence – who calls him “Dev” instead of Dave – are in on the joke.

The pair spoke to Today FM’s Anton Savage this morning about their appearance on the show, which can be seen on TV in tonight’s episode.

Dermot & Dave can be heard weekdays on Today FM from 12 midday to 2:30pm.
