The eir sponsorship will include 84 pre-recorded stings on weekdays, 30 pre-recorded stings at weekends and 21 branded pre-recorded promos per week. eir will also run up to four on-air promotions across the 12 month sponsorship. Speaking about the sponsorship, John Anslow, Group Sponsorship Manager, eir, said: “This sponsorship is a further proofpoint of our commitment to supporting sport at all levels, both local and national. It complements the unrivalled access we give to sports fans via eir Sport and our longstanding sponsorship of the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship. Joining forces with such an influential voice in sport will be mutually beneficial as we connect with sports fans across the country.”
Adrian Barry, Newstalk’s sports editor added: “We are delighted to welcome the eir brand to the team as sponsors of Off The Ball, they have long been supporters of Irish sport at home and abroad. They complement what we on Off The Ball are doing 7 days a week with in-depth analysis, opinion and live action. We look forward to working together to bring quality content to a larger audience across their network including our nightly appearances on the eir Sport channel from 7pm.
“This feels like a very natural fit and comes at an exciting time for us on-air and online at Newstalk.com”
