All the winners have been announced for the 2017 New York Radio Festivals Awards.
47 out of the 337 worldwide winners are from Ireland, with RTÉ once again taking home the majority of the awards, including being crowned Radio Broadcaster of the Year worldwide. Independent radio picked up just three.
Ireland got 12 Gold Awards altogether – seven for Radio 1, two for lyric fm, one for RTÉ Radio, one for Classic Hits 4FM and one for Newstalk.
Newstalk’s The Space Between Skeleton and Skin doc with Claire Darmody and Classic Hits 4FM’s Niall Boylan Show were both winners, whilst production companies Athena Media and Grey Heron Media helped RTE win their awards.
