Today FM’s morning presenters Dermot & Dave will host Cheese & Cracker Karaoke at Electric Picnic this year.
They’ll be there as part of Today FM’s Sound Garden Stage, which is returning to the event for another year.
The guys said: “Cheese and Cracker Karaoke is so much craic! The atmosphere was amazing last year; the tent was bursting at the seams! This year we’ve gone even bigger with more cheesy tunes, more crackin’ crackers and more big celebrity appearances – do not miss it!”
Meanwhile, Declan Pierce will debut his ‘Block Rockin’ Beats’ live show on the Sound Garden stage and said;
“I’m absolutely living for this gig! It’ll be our first time to bring Block Rockin’ Beats live with the Hit Machine Drummers to Electric Picnic, and I think it adds an extra buzz that it’ll be live on Today FM too. My full radio show will broadcast from the stage and I’ll be joined by DJs John Gibbons and Robbie G for guest mixes. The final hour from 8pm – 9pm is when we plan to lift the roof off the place when I launch into a dance classics DJ set with 7 drummers on stage with me! It’s going to be LOUD! Expect tunes from Faithless, The Prodigy, Underworld and Darude”
Irish band Wild Youth will kick off the weekend’s proceedings when they take to the Sound Garden stage on Friday at 5PM.
Across the weekend, The Sound Garden stage will also be home to daily, and nightly, DJ sets from a host of Today FM presenters including Fergal D’Arcy, Ed Smith, Joe Donnelly and Kelly-Anne Byrne.
Today FM is official radio partner of Electric Picnic 2018 and next week will give people a final chance to win tickets to the sold-out festival.
