Communicorp Media’s recently launched digital streams Today XM, 98FM Throwback and SPIN Xtra are now available within the Irish Radio Player App.
Earlier this year, the media group launched specialised music streams within its current brand portfolio to offer consumers more music choice.
Today XM is a dedicated alternative music stream featuring the biggest hits from the past as well as serving up current and brand new music from iconic artists in the Alt-Rock, Alt-Dance and Electronica genres.
98FM Throwback is non-stop nineties and noughties music twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
SPIN Xtra is the home of fresh urban hits with an urban twist.
Commenting on the announcement, Keith McCormack, CEO of Music and Entertainment at Communicorp Media said: “We launched a number of new digital music streams earlier this year across Today FM, 98FM, SPIN 1038 and SPIN Southwest to expand our offering and to allow people to consume the brands they love more often. The audience reaction has been amazing. Since launching we have had thousands of people tuning in to each stream, with over half a million streams in their first 5 months. We are very excited to see our streams on the Irish Radio Player App – giving our audience another opportunity to listen and enjoy.”
More radio stations are also expected to launch on the Irish Radioplayer app soon.
