Newstalk starts series on women in technology and science

Newstalk has launched a new six-part series called Full Steam presented by Jess Kelly.

The new series, which started over the weekend, features hour-long interviews with the most influential women in technology and science in Ireland.

‘Full STEAM’ will cover topics in science, technology, engineering, arts and maths with Jess Kelly set to speak to a number of guests over the coming weeks including Cathriona Hallahan (Microsoft Ireland), Helen Dixon (Data Protection Commissioner), Amanda Roche Kelly (JustEat.ie), Aisling Hassell (AirBnB) and Cliona O’Farrelly (Trinity College Dublin).

Anne O’Leary, CEO, Vodafone Ireland featured in the first episode of the series. She discussed ditching her femininity at the beginning of her career to fit in, what the loss of her mother taught her about being a leader and why gender equality in the workplace makes perfect business sense.

‘Full STEAM’ will broadcast on Saturdays at 7pm and repeated on Sunday nights at 8pm. A podcast will be available to download and the full video interview online.
