Cork’s 96FM has launched another pop-up radio station to cover a local event.

Radio Indie features music from the artists who will be taking part in this year’s Indiependence Festival at Mitchellstown in North Cork on the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Artists include Bastille; Biffy Clyro; Gavin James; Lewis Capaldi; The Frank & Walters; Something Happens; Wild Youth; Chasing Abbey and many more.

Radio Indie is available now via the Cork’s 96FM smartphone apps and on the station’s website.

Local Content Controller for Cork’s 96FM & C103, Brendan O’Driscoll told RadioToday about the station: “We’re counting down to Indiependence 2019 with this brand new online station. Simply go to 96fm.ie and click on the Radio Indie Logo or find it in the menu section of the Corks 96fm Phone App.

“As well as the Best Music Mix from Indie 19, we will have information about the festival.”
