NOVA is an official media partner for the Surf Summit 2015, taking place in Sligo this weekend.
The event attracts hundreds of tech investors, startups, entrepreneurs and industry enthusiasts travelling to do business.
Radio NOVA is co-sponsoring the event with RTÉ, Facebook, CNBC, The Guardian, Financial Times and Independent.ie amongst others. Senior executives from some of the world’s biggest tech brands along with future industry leaders will spend three days engaging in a range of outdoor activities which will include surfing, kayaking, kite surfing as well as activities, networking, dinners, parties, discussions and talks.
More than 200 people attended the event in Westport, Co Mayo last year but the Surf Summit intends to “dramatically increase” that figure this year.
“The Surf Summit is the ultimate way for executives in the startup and technology industries to deepen the network they’ve developed at the Web Summit and experience the best that Ireland’s west has to offer. We’re delighted to be partnering with such a high-profile event; the profile of Surf Summit attendees is very much in line with that of our growing audience so it’s the perfect match from a media promotion perspective”, says Radio NOVA’s Kevin Branigan.
The Sligo Chamber of Commerce estimates the event could be worth millions to the local economy over its three days.
