98FM gets new jingles with 5 note sonic logo

There’s a new sound on 98FM today as the station launches one of its biggest promotions, Code Red.

Wise Buddah London has created a new set of jingles, based on the Radio 538 Holland package, and includes a new musical logo.

The package features 11 re-sing IDs and a fresh new top of hour along with a host of custom beds. Dave Foxx remains the station VO.

Phil Tozer, Production Manager, Wise Buddah Jingles tells RadioToday: “Pat, Michael and the Team came to us in Autumn with the aim of refreshing their sound for the New Year. They cherry picked their favourite cuts from our Radio 538 packages, and we got straight to work on the re-versioning.

“Pat joined us for the vocal session, and I think that the result is a really creative and current package which sounds absolutely huge on air!”

Pat Gill, Head of Imaging and Production at 98FM added: “We have created a brand new sound for 98FM with a sonic logo which cuts through on every show. The jingles are packed with energy and keep 98FM at the heart of everything. Working with Mark, Phil and Ben at Wise Buddah was a pleasure, they nailed our brief and delivered a top quality package. It’s a very exciting time for 98FM and this new sound will work perfectly alongside our events and plans for 2016.”

Code Red is a new competition to 98FM – which will see Adrian Kennedy & Jeremy Dixon locked inside a glass box for up to 98 hours from 10am Monday.
