Presenter Keith Cunningham is heading back to Cork after he announced his departure from national station Today FM.
He’s going to take on a new radio presenter and PD role at Red FM as well as being what he describes as a Professional Daddy.
Today FM’s CEO Peter McPartlin said KC had made a “fantastic contribution” to the station during his time there.
“We will miss his enthusiasm, generosity, talent and infectious personality,” McPartlin said.
KC said: “I’ve been commuting from my home in Cork to Dublin every week for over three years now and being away from my two baby daughters and my fiancée Rachel so much, was getting far too difficult. I’m leaving my dream gig for my dream family, I think most people would do the same.”
2fm’s afternoon presenter Rick O’Shea wished him all the best in his move: “A huge congrats to @kctodayfm on his move home. Family is always more important than this nonsense we call radio. Good luck mi amigo ;-)”
