Late night FM104 Phoneshow presenter Adrian Kennedy and his producer Jeremy Dixon are moving to a new daytime show on music-led 98FM.
An insider told The Herald: “There is no bad feeling. No one minds working nights but after 16 years Adrian and Jeremy have simply had enough and want a daytime job.”
It’s understood that the two hosts have already signed with 98FM but must remain with rival FM104 for a further six months.
Speaking about The Adrian Kennedy Show, CEO of Communicorp, Gervaise Slowey said, “I am delighted to welcome Adrian and Jeremy to the team. The arrival of The Adrian Kennedy phone show reaches right into the heartland of our target audience. There is a clear gap in the market for a Dublin-focused, mid-morning phone show and this addition to 98FM will add to our exciting on-air offering.”
They will host the 10am till midday slot with Barry Dunne presenting the remaining three hours of his current five hour shift from early 2014.
