Shave or Dye, the Today FM promotion which has raised 6.1 million euro for the Irish Cancer Society so far, has returned for 2014.
Thousands of events have been held all over the country to raise funds and since 2010 four world records have been set.
Last year saw 257 people take part in the final event in Dublin, for which the station won a Community/Social Action award at the PPIs and a Silver Award at the New York Festivals.

2013: The biggest gathering of Mohicans – 257 heads!
2012: The most heads dyed by one hairdresser in 24 hours – 62 heads
2011: The most heads shaved by 10 barbers in 1 hour – 315 heads
2010: The most heads shaved by 1 barber in 1 hour – 60 heads
Morning presenter Ray D’Arcy announced details of Today FM’s World Record attempt for the campaign this morning. The campaign is the brainchild of Today FM’s Gill Waters.
