Nova newsreader beats rivals in track race

Radio Nova newsreader Conor Irwan has beaten colleagues from 98FM, FM104, Today FM and RTÉ in the SEAT Leon Mondello Challenge.

The race event took place on Wednesday 15th January at Mondello Park and saw broadcasters from all across the country racing against each other on the famous track in aid of a charity of their choice.

Other participants included 2fm’s Colm Hayes, Paddy McKenna, Ruth Scott and Jenny Greene, Newstalk’s Bobby Kerr, Q102’s Dave Harrington, Northern Sound FM’s Sean McCaffrey, KC from Today FM, Dave Moore from 98FM and Marty Miller from Nova Breakfast.

Radio Nova’s Conor won the prize of €1000 for his chosen charity – the ISPCC – with a lap time of 1.15.47 driving a SEAT Leon.
