Former RTÉ journalist Eamonn Falvey has joined the Kfm News team, on a part-time basis at weekends and weekday holiday cover.
Eamonn worked with RTÉ Radio and Television News and Sport between 1992 and 2009, where he filled the various roles of journalist, presenter, reporter and editor.
He left RTÉ in 2010 to establish his own company Present Box Office Films Limited, which operates in the multi-media sector, including filming and preparation of Audio/Visual productions for online and professional websites.
Kfm CEO/Executive Director Clem Ryan says: “Kfm is delighted that a broadcaster of Eamonn Falvey’s calibre and experience has chosen to join our News team. The experience, expertise and professional integrity he will bring to our News and Sports output will be top drawer.”
“Eamonn’s decision to join Kfm is, also, an endorsement of the radio station and the quality of our output”, concluded the Kfm CEO.
Also, David Baker is returning to the station to host the nightshift.
“During my time living in county Kildare, one of the true local stations was and still is Kfm, so when I got the opportunity to go back on air there I had no hesitation at all. They are a great bunch of people with real belief in what they do and already the response is fantastic,” he said.
He’ll continue his job as presenter for Radio Pembrokeshire, Radio Carmarthenshire, Scarlet FM and Radio Ceredigion in Wales in addition to this role.
Kfm Programme Director, Paul Power said: “David has worked successfully with us in the past, so, when the slot became available he was a natural option.
“Kfm is delighted to have a broadcaster of David’s calibre back with us and consider him a major boost to our night time schedule.”
