Radio Nova has appointed its sales director Mary O’Sullivan as General Manager.
Mary will now oversee the management of day-to-day operations at the station as well as management of sales and revenue-generation. She has been with the station since its launch in 2010, having joined in the position of Direct Sales Manager from Communicorp-owned Spin 1038. She was promoted to Sales Director in 2011 and has held that position since.
Chief Executive Kevin Branigan said: “Mary has an intimate knowledge of our business and a great capacity for getting things done. The creation of this new management position will ensure that we continue to grow our commercial expertise in line with our increasing audience and revenue figures in this busy market”.
Mary O’ Sullivan said: “NOVA is rapidly becoming a major player in the Dublin radio market. We will now continue to deliver great service and value to our growing client base while introducing new initiatives in the area of sales, promotions and marketing to grow our further commercial appeal to brands and advertisers”.
The latest JNLR ratings have proved very positive for NOVA, having grown its daily reach by 30% to 69,000 and weekly reach to 124,000, meaning that one in ten people in Dublin city, county and commuter belt now listen to the the station. The figures come after the launch late last year of the station’s ‘Morning Glory’ breakfast programme.
