RTÉ 2fm has secured ALDI as sponsor of The weekday 11am to 2pm Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene.
The new deal, which has been agreed for fourteen months, started today as the newly created stings, developed by RTÉ Radio Creative Audio Production, went on air.
Nicky said today he was looking forward to starting his new solo singing career but has no plans to quit his radio show.
This deal includes nine sponsorship stings per day and 18 sponsor credited cross station promos per week. Homepage sponsorship and the programme podcast sponsorship along with bespoke promotions are also included.
Speaking about the new deal Aldi’s Group Buying Director Rob Farrell said “Aldi Ireland is looking forward to the partnership with 2fm and The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene. We are confident that this sponsorship will allow us to engage with our customer base and to keep them informed about the new and exciting developments at Aldi.”
Dan Healy, Head of 2fm and Director of Radio Sales added; “This is a very significant deal for 2fm for many reasons as the station has transformed within the last year. After only 9 short months on air, it’s very encouraging for both The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene and 2fm that a huge retail brand such as Aldi has confidence in both the programme and the stations new schedule. I feel this is a perfect match as both brands are aligned and growing at a fast rate. We look forward to working with Aldi for many years to come.”
