Hector O’hEochagain is set to make a return to the airwaves at TodayFM, where he’ll temporarily fill the mid-morning hot seat formerly presented by Ray D’Arcy.
The move will see him directly taking on his former 2FM colleague Ryan Tubridy in the mid morning slot, as he keeps the seat warm for new full-time presenter Anton Savage.
The Navan man was unceremoniously dumped from his morning show by 2FM last year. He said: “I miss my soldiers of the dawn on the radio and I can’t go five yards without someone talking about the show so I’m thinking of that audience. My family is chuffed. Getting up at 20 past five it is not all that nice. I am now sleeping and getting the chance to bring my kids to school”.
Hector takes to the Today FM airwaves this Monday January 19th at 9am.

This is only a temporary move, so Hector fans don’t get your hopes up. He doesn’t even live in Dublin…
As Fr. Jack might say to Doughal, ‘Who let that Gobshite on the radio’?
