Tony Fenton brought the radio industry together today as hundreds attended his funeral at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook.
U2 played Ordinary Love in tribute to Tony, as many friends, family and colleagues said goodbye to the Today FM presenter. Guests ranged from Communicorp boss Denis O’Brien to on-air rivals, and of course his colleagues at Today FM.
Ian Dempsey, Dave Fanning, Ronan Collins, Larry Gogan, Ray Foley and Jenny Greene are just some of those who paid their respects.
Then this afternoon, a large number of radio stations all played Aretha Franklin’s I Say A Little Prayer For You at 2.30pm as a tribute.
