Duggan made Head of News at Classic Hits 4FM
Tara Duggan has been appointed as Head of News for Classic Hits 4FM, replacing Niamh Maher.
Tara has previously worked at Newstalk as Duty Editor and presenter for over 10 years before leaving in June 2015. Prior to that, she was Deputy Head of News at Dublin’s 98FM and a Senior BJ at Q102.
Andy Matthews at Classic Hits 4FM told us: “We are absolutely delighted to have Tara join the growing team here at Classic Hits 4FM. Tara has been a star performer in the radio industry and she will bring a huge range of very valuable experience to freshen up, invigorate, and focus the news output across our entire network”.
Tara Duggan added: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the team at Classic Hits 4FM. I’m genuinely excited to return to radio and especially with a station and network which has the listener at the core of everything it does. My focus will be ensuring that Classic Hits 4FM’s news output will be relevant, informative and engaging for our target audience, both on air and on our social media platforms. I’m also really looking forward to getting to know the Classic Hits 4FM listeners and helping them to ‘wake up happy'”.
Director of News Niamh Maher is leaving Classic Hits 4FM to join Her.ie as an online content creator.
