Keith Cunningham has left Cork’s Red FM after three years as Programme Director and breakfast presenter.
Speaking to RadioToday.ie, the former Today FM presenter told us the departure is an amicable one as doing the two roles wasn’t allowing him to spend all his time working on his radio show. “It’s very intensive running the station and the show, so we’ve parted ways peacefully, and I’m sure whoever takes over the show will do a great job,” he said.
“I am very sad to leave Red FM,” he added.
His last programme on the station was Tuesday 28th Feb. KC said “Speak to you tomorrow” on his last link, suggesting he didn’t know at the time he was hosting his last show.
But KC does have another job lined up – and news of him joining another radio station in Cork should be with us within the next 24 hours. Keep an eye on RadioToday.ie for details.

Breakfast and running a radio station do not mix, you end up in the ground, in at 4.30 still going with demands of the jobs at 7pm

yea, but why not present a less demanding show on red fm with his PD duties. I think he must have been poached to another station.
