Páraic Gallagher exits Newstalk after 13 years
Páraic Gallagher is leaving his position of chief reporter and political correspondent at Newstalk after 13 years.
Paraic tweeted the news saying it’s time for a new chapter in his life.
He said: “I’ve decided that after almost 13 years as chief reporter and political correspondent at Newstalk a new chapter in my life beckons.
“I’ve been absolutely privileged over that time to have had a front-row seat at some of the most momentous events in Irish life. I’ll miss this but most of all I’ll miss the wonderful colleagues past and present at Newstalk, our sister Communicorp stations and the network of independent stations all over Ireland. I wish everyone of them all the best, and will love listening to the great radio they produce everyday.”
Paraic joined Newstalk in 2004 after stints as a court reporter at Q102 and reporter at 98FM. He was regularly heard across the network of independent radio from his base in Dublin.
Busy day & all the attention is on @campaignforleo but I wanted to share more big news with you all and it wouldn't fit in 140 characters so pic.twitter.com/88l8Rt9JCG
