Liam Thompson joins Cork’s 96FM and C103

Former RTÉ, Communicorp and UTV Radio programmer Liam Thompson is back in Ireland to work for Wireless Group as a Consultant.

He recently left his job in England, as Programme Director of Wireless Group’s Virgin Radio UK, which launched nationally on DAB digital radio last year. Before that he worked for Bauer Media in London programming Magic.

Liam will work temporarily as a Consultant for Cork’s 96FM and C103, just as the station brings a new breakfast show to market with KC.

CEO and Programme Director of Cork’s 96FM & C103, Kieran McGeary said “I’m looking forward to welcoming Liam to Cork. He’s a very experienced Programmer and that experience plus a fresh pair of ears will be invaluable help to us as we drive our two brands forward.”

Wireless will be recruiting a full-time Content Controller for 96FM & C103 in due course.
