iRadio GM and Content Director / Presenter Mark Cunning is leaving his lunchtime show on the station but staying with the company.
In a video message posted online today, he confirmed his last show will be this Friday, thanking his 80,000 listeners for keeping him in the job.
He says: “I have a new job which means I’m gonna spend a lot of my time working behind the scenes and behind a desk and in an office and it’s cool and it’s exciting and I can’t wait but umm it’s a bit weird..”
He continued: “It’s been an absolute rollercoaster being on-air for 10 years and a rollercoaster in the best sense of the word and if you’re one of the 80,000 who listened to me every lunchtime, thank you, because you kept me in a job I absolutely love for 10 years. The station is going to go from strength to strength, there’s gonnna be somebody brand new here on Monday and ummmm thank you.”
