Zoë Kavanagh, Chief Executive of The National Dairy Council said that The NDC and Countrywide teams both bridge the urban and rural regions of Ireland very effectively.

“Our stakeholders, from farmers to dairy co-ops throughout the regions, have proven to be very innovative and significant employers making a big contribution to our economic recovery in both rural and urban parts of the country,” said Ms. Kavanagh.

“Farmers and processors are justifiably proud of the nutritional values, sustainability and standards that we enjoy in Irish dairy products. Radio programmes such as Countrywide have an important educational role in highlighting the expertise and standards behind the high quality of farming and food that Irish consumers can enjoy.”
