98FM & SPIN to move from Malt House to Marconi

Communicorp is moving all of its Dublin-based stations into one place, RadioToday understands.

The Sunday Times reports 98FM and Spin 1038 are leaving their home in Malt House to Grand Canal Quay to join Today FM and Newstalk at Marconi House in Digges Lane.

98FM has been based in the Malt House for almost two decades, and was later joined by Spin FM. Marconi House is Communcorp’s main HQ, having recently been home to three radio stations before Phantom / TXFM closed down.

Communicorp is going through somewhat of a restructure at the moment, combining managerial and programming/editorial roles around its Dublin stations, and this move will make managing the new positions much easier.

The company has not issued any statement on the development.
