As Ryan Tubridy covers Simon Mayo’s drivetime show at BBC Radio 2, Bachelor’s Walk star Simon Delaney takes over the weekday morning show.
It’s not the first time Tubs has swapped RTE for the BBC either – he’s covered for Graham Norton, Chris Evans and Ken Bruce in the past too.
“I feel like Captain Kirk on the bridge of the Enterprise,” joked Simon Delaney as he kicked off his first day according to the Independent which reviewed his first show last week.
Simon is a well known television actor and theatre director – and as a judge on Fame The Musical, but doesn’t have a radio background.
