Michael Brett has made the long journey along the corridors at Grand Canal Dock from PD at Spin 1038 to the same title at 98FM.
Michael was also previously Programme Director at SPIN South West in 2010 and has worked at Cork’s 103FM / C103 and Tipp FM.
Replacing Michael at Spin is Shona Ryan, previously Assistant Programme Director. Her position is being filled by Brian Maher.
Michael told RadioToday: “It’s a very exciting time to move to 98FM and to be working with some great talent there, both on and off the air.
It’s certainly a big challenge but there is a very strong line up on air at the station now, which coupled with the extensive marketing campaign, will bring future success to 98FM”.
Yesterday it was announced that 98FM’s Chief Executive Chris Doyle will be leaving the station on June 7th. RadioToday sources suggest he’ll be taking up a new postion at a national station soon after.
