Today FM secures Sky Sports as sponsor

Sky Sports is the new sponsor of Today FM’s Premier League Live programme, which returns for a 16th season on Saturday 17th August.

Every Saturday from August until May, Today FM will broadcast live and exclusive commentaries from the Barclays Premier League, kicking off the season with Liverpool v Stoke City and Arsenal v Aston Villa on the opening day.

‘Premier League Live’ is presented by Michael McMullan, with former Republic of Ireland player and Mark Lawrenson who’ll provide analysis on the first hour of the show.

Ron Jones, Ian Beach, Brian Kerr, Frank Stapleton, Mick Martin and Bryan Hamilton will form the core of the commentary team as they describe the drama from amphitheatres such as Old Trafford and Anfield.

And each week in the final hour of the show, the microphone is given over to listeners who have their say on the day’s events.
