Newstalk presenter Tom Dunne is being moved to late nights to make way for Pat Kenny, the Herald / Indepedent has reported today.
The newspapers say Tom will take over Marc Coleman’s show on September 2nd, meaning his main rival over at RTÉ will be The Late Debate.
“Tom is very popular and has a loyal listenership. Certainly it’s hoped that he can bring those listeners to his new slot and put his stamp on night-time radio,” said a source.
The former Today FM presenter started his radio career at 98FM in the 90s after being part of the pop-rock band Something Happens.
