RTÉ’s coverage of the National Ploughing Championships this weekend will be sponsored for the first time, by supermarket chain ALDI.
Presenters Joe Duffy, Ryan Tubridy and Sean O’Rourke will be among the presenters at RTÉ Stand for the 81st Anniversary of the championship, as RTÉ broadcast from one of Europe’s largest outdoor exhibitions and agricultural trade shows.
Joseph Hoban, Head of Communications and Brand Development for RTÉ, said: “RTÉ’s presence at the National Ploughing Championships has been evolving for some years. This year, some 180,000 visitors will have the opportunity to “Explore RTÉ” at an all-new RTÉ Stand.
“Visitors to the stand will experience live music sets from RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and RTÉ lyric fm, and we’ve a special in-stand version of The Sunday Game Live. Visitors can get on the cover of their very own RTÉ Guide, watch tailored content from RTÉ Archives, enjoy storytelling with RTÉjr, and meet familiar faces like Maura Derrane and Daithi Ó Se. It promises to be a fantastic journey through RTÉ. We’re delighted to welcome ALDI on board as the first ever sponsor of RTÉ at the Ploughing.”
Aldi’s Group Buying Director, Niall O’Connor commented: “Aldi Stores (Ireland) Ltd is delighted to be sponsoring RTÉ at The National Ploughing Championships 2013. This will be our fifth year at the event and our partnership with RTE is a welcome addition.
“Our partnership with RTÉ delivers an excellent platform to showcase 35 of our Irish supplier partners who are joining us at the Love Ireland, Like Aldi marquee at The National Ploughing Championships.”
The sponsorship includes: 26 sponsor credited stings, 54 promos, 9 spot advertising package, branded site map in the RTÉ Guide and online advertising across RTÉ.ie.
