Radio Nova launches online Dad Rock Radio

Nova’s new breakfast show host Marty Miller is to host a new weekly show called Dad Rock, whilst an extra digital station of the same name launches.

The Friday night programme will start on November 15th, broadcast from 10pm till 1am featuring classic rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Marty hosted a similar show a few years ago when he worked at Today FM.

“I’m very excited to be resurrecting Dad Rock. As a lifelong fan of classic rock, it’ll be great to dig deep on Friday nights and bring Dad Rock to where it truly belongs – to Radio Nova”, said Marty.

“Expect to hear plenty of ZZ Top, Rush, Eagles, Zeppelin, Tom Petty, CCR, Horslips, Neil Young, Stones, Clapton, Hendrix, Doors, Floyd, Lizzy, Springsteen, Genesis, U2, The Who, Frampton and lots more – with a few surprises thrown in too”, he said.

The new radio station will be available online and via the Radio Nova app.

“This is the perfect way for us to tie in our digital radio offerings with our FM broadcasts”, says Nova’s Kevin Branigan. Dad Rock Radio will offer serious classic rock fans, particularly those who like the older material, a 24-hour radio channel featuring all the great artists and songs – available to them at the push of a button from the Nova App on their phone.”
