Nova’s Kits for Christmas hailed a success

Joan and Marty’s Christmas Campaign on Nova Breakfast to collect sports jerseys has been hailed as a ‘huge success’.

In total, 246 kits were collected for the ISPCC in association with the Irish Mirror throughout December.

Mary Gamble, Director of Fundraising at ISPCC says: “The response was overwhelming with 246 jerseys collected during the month which was absolutely AMAZING! We are currently distributing the jerseys throughout the country via our support workers who visit the kids on a weekly basis… It was a great idea and from the initial feedback we are getting in there are some delighted kids out there!”

The station has thanked everyone who got involved in the campaign.

Clara Kavanagh of the Irish Mirror says: “We were delighted to partner up with Radio Nova for the Kits for Christmas campaign and help bring smiles to little sports fans this Christmas. It was great to be a part of a lovely project that helped bring so much joy to local communities and families.”

Radio Nova’s ‘Kits for Christmas’ campaign was the second seasonal campaign that Nova embarked on after the station ran a Christmas Toy Appeal in 2012.
