After a newspaper article, RTÉ has denied a report that Ryan Tubridy is being lined up to replace Ronan Collins on RTE Radio One.
There appears to be no substance to the rumour, apart from the latest JNLR figures which ranked his show with 1,000 less listeners than ex-Westlife star Nicky Byrne, and 26th most popular radio show in the country, despite his reported €495,000 salary.
The RTÉ Press Office said this morning: “Following an article published this morning, there are no plans to move Ryan Tubridy from 2fm. Ryan Tubridy will be on 2fm in the new season.”
