Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show showbiz presenter Paula MacSweeney got a surprise from U2 during the show this week.
Paula reported that the thoughtful lads in U2 had sent Slash a gift to mark his visit to Dublin. She joked, as it was her birthday, that they could send her a little present, if they so wished.
Little did she know that the lads were listening and sure enough, a beautiful bunch of roses arrived at the Today FM offices later that morning. Needless to say, Paula was shocked, but very excited. “U2 sent me flowers for my birthday. I can’t stop laughing/shaking!” she said.
