Limerick-based regional youth station Spin South West are celebrating Valentines Day by giving away a diamond ring and a romantic trip to Paris.
The station is running the competition in conjunction with the Crescent Shopping Centre on Limerick’s Dooradoyle Road.
They’ve installed a “Love Seat” in the shopping centre and have been encouraging couples to take “selfies” there, then tweet them to the station and the shopping centre – or post them to the Spin South West facebook page – with the hashtag “#SPINCrescentSelfie”.
Nessa Harney will be presenting her show live from the Crescent Shopping Centre this Saturday – St. Valentine’s Day – when she’ll be looking to find the most romantic couple in the south west.
The station have been giving away daily prizes of cinema tickets, dinner for two, chocolate hampers and jewellery, in conjunction with various shops in the centre.
One lucky couple will scoop the top prize of a €1,700 diamond ring from Fields Jewellers and a romantic trip to the French capital during the special broadcast on Saturday.
