CRAOL Achievement Awards 2015 shortlist announced

The CRAOL Achievement Awards 2015 – which honour excellence in Irish community radio – are to be awarded this Friday 5th June, and the shortlist has been announced.

28 Entries from 17 different Community Radio stations have been shortlisted in four categories for the ceremony which takes place at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire.

The Ceremony will form part of a gala dinner ahead of the annual Craol Féile which is being hosted over the weekend by Dublin South FM.

Entry to the CRAOL Achievement Awards is open to all full and 100-day licenced community radio stations in the Republic of Ireland, with programmes being entered needing to have first been broadcast between 1st May 2014 & 30th April 2015.

A six person panel of judges has been reviewing a record number of entries to the awards. Those entries which have reached the standard of “Highly commended” are shortlisted below.

Category 1: Commissioned Programming

  3. UCC 98.3Fm: ‘Cúirt an Mheán Oíche’ , The Midnight Court
  4. Athlone Community Radio: Athlone Calling

Category 2: Special Programming (Non-commissioned, once-off)

Category 4: Music Programme (Regularly Scheduled)

A small number of these shortlisted entries who have judged to have further reached an exceptional standard will receive a CRAOL Achievement Award 2015. The other entries on the shortlist will receive a certificate of commendation.
