Dublin City FM celebrate 10 years of LiveDrive

Specialist station Dublin City FM are celebrating the 10th Birthday of “LiveDrive”, Dublin’s only dedicated radio traffic show, next week.

The well respected programme, which airs during the busiest traffic times – from 7am until 10am and again from 4pm to 7pm each day first took to the airwaves on Dublin City FM on September 15th 2005 and is widely known as “THE traffic programme”.

The programme takes priority in the Dublin City FM schedule and has been known, on special occasions when extreme weather or other conditions cause major traffic problems in the city, to have been extended by two hours or more.

The only dedicated traffic programme for the capital, LiveDrive is presented by Pam Duggan in the morning and John Neary in the evening and broadcasts live from the Traffic Management Centre in Dublin City Council’s Wood Quay headquarters.

It keeps motorists, bus and taxi drivers, truckers and cyclists informed about traffic in the city during peak commuter hours while providing an eclectic mix of music to entertain commuters.

To celebrate the 10th Birthday of the programme, Dublin City FM will be welcoming members of the media to the Traffic Management Centre next Tuesday, September 15th, to show off the state-of-the-art facilities which make the show possible and to meet the team.
