Christmas Toy Appeal returns to Clare FM

Clare FM’s Christmas Toy Appeal is back for 2015, supporting Chernobyl Children’s International headed up by Adi Roche.

Adi herself will be in the studio live tomorrow (Friday) launching the appeal from 10am, when Adi’s brother Liam O’Meara will also contribute live from Russian as part of the Burren Chernobyl Project.

Last year, the station’s first appeal, was in aid of the Rainbow Children’s Ward at Limerick University Hospital and the children in the hospital, got one of the best Christmas Surprises when the Clare FM team arrived with van loads of toys kindly donated by the people of County Clare. Over the space of 3 weeks, the station had gathered thousands of toys and and filled 3 vans including the Clare FM Broadcast Cruiser.

Organiser of the appeal, Stephen McDermott said “Last year’s appeal was overwhelming and the generosity shown by the people of Clare and its surrounds really highlighted the good nature and feeling of Christmas. We Hope this year’s appeal will be just as successful”.
