Radio NOVA presenter and footballer Keith Andrews has given Baldoyle United Football Club a free coaching session with the international player.
It comes as part of the station’s ‘Euro 2016 Live’ show, presented by Andrews and comedian Eric Lalor, which ran over the 5-weeks of the european championship. Andrews coached over forty boys and girls of all ages, with the NOVA Rattle & Hummer Street Team on hand to assist.
NOVA had run a competition for local clubs to win the coaching session, with local clubs throughout the station’s franchise area of Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow taking part.
Baldoyle Unitied FC’s Chairman Dermot Penrose said, “It was a fantastic afternoon. Keith Andrews passed on some great tips to our developing players and was generous with his time signing autographs and taking selfies afterwards. Big thanks to all the crew at Nova! We’re all regular listeners to Nova already and it was great to take part and meet the crew”.
Radio NOVA’s Promotions Manager, Elaine Leonard said, “Our Euro 2016 Live programme brought two new presenters – Keith Andrews and Keith Lalor – to the radio and they went down a treat with our listeners. It was so good of Keith to give his time to coach Baldoyle United FC and great for us to bring the programme out to local football clubs”.
