Today FM’s Ian Dempsey says yes to the dress
After pressure from his listeners on Today FM, Ian Dempsey has agreed to present his show in front of a live audience in a wedding dress!
It’ll happen on ‘Wedding Dress Wednesday’ on 20th September – part of the station’s Dare to Care campaign in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
Ian will join the women of Ireland on the day and don a white dress. There may even be a garter involved!
Ian’s Big Day will take place in Dublin City Centre and the station is inviting listeners to join him for his Bridal Breakfast by applying online. There’s only one condition; anyone attending is asked to wear a wedding dress and get sponsored for doing so.
Last year Ian Dempsey got tattooed live on air as part of the fundraising campaign after reaching his target of €25,000.
Today FM launched its annual Dare to Care campaign in aid of the Irish Cancer Society last week. Now in its second year, Today FM along with presenters and listeners is hoping to raise €500,000 in the fight against cancer.
