Kfm Radio to Launch Kfm Extra on Radioplayer

Kildare’s Kfm is launching an extra online radio service on the Irish Radioplayer platform called Kfm Extra.

The proposed new Kfm Extra service will offer a combination of selected aspects of the main schedule, along with other scheduling and programme options.

The station has also seen significant, recent, changes at Board level with National Ploughing Association M.D. Anna May McHugh taking over the Chair of the company from retiring chairman Bernard Hurley.

Kfm CEO Clem Ryan told RadioToday these are exciting times for Kfm: “The last 18 months have seen huge growth in our listenership and combined with the expertise on the Board and at management level, and a great staff, we hope to build on this success with the existing service and the proposed Kfm Extra.”

Ryan, along with Sean Ashmore who has a number of other radio media interests, have both significantly increased their shareholding in the last two years, and along with Mongey Communications MD, David Mongey, are the major shareholders in Kfm.
