Fergal D’Arcy, host of iRadio’s afternoon show I Go Home is joining Today FM to present the evening show.
Fergal takes over from Colm O’Sullivan who has presented The Mix Up on Today FM since 2013. Colm takes up a senior role on the programming side of Today FM instead.
Fergal has been with iRadio for eight years and is a well known club DJ, having played numerous music festivals, including The Electric Picnic and Oxegen.
Peter McPartlin, Today FM’s CEO said “We’ve been admiring Fergal’s on-air creativity for some time and I’m delighted that we’ve managed to get one of the brightest young talents on Irish radio onto Today FM.”
Looking forward to joining his new family, Fergal D’Arcy commented: “I’ve always prided myself on being an ideas man more than a presenter, with this in mind a move to what in my opinion, is the most dynamic and creative station in the country, is a step in the right direction. Anyone that knows me ‘expects something different’ every time they see me …. I’ll fit right in.”
Fergal began his career just over a decade ago as a documentary maker. He holds an honours degree in Journalism from D.I.T. and started his radio career as a breakfast presenter and producer with Clare FM.
