Newstalk has announced that Colette Fitzpatrick will join the station to present a brand new Sunday morning show, sponsored by Marks & Spencer.
The announcement, made at 10am this morning, was of brand new show “The Collette Fitzpatrick Show”, which will include topical discussions, expert advice and high profile interviews, and will feature a wide range of topics including psychology, parenting, book and TV and reviews as well as women’s health & well-being.
Fitzpatrick, who graduated with a first class honours degree in Journalism from DIT in Aungier Street and has extensive experience in journalism, having worked for East Coast, Today FM and later TV3, where she anchors daily news bulletins “The 12.30” and “The 5.30”, joined Shane Coleman on today’s Pat Kenny Show to discuss her plans for the new show
Commenting on the announcement, she said: “I’m very excited to be joining the Newstalk line-up. I’ve been looking for a way to get back into radio for a couple of years, to a show where I can give women a platform to discuss issues that are important to us.”
She added: “I’m thrilled this opportunity has arisen with Newstalk, and think it will be a perfect complement to my other journalistic endeavours. I look forward to sharing the mic with an interesting mix of people and providing an engaging hour of entertainment which I hope will be a great addition to people’s Sunday mornings”.

The Colette Fitzpatrick Show will be live every Sunday from 9am-10am. The first broadcast on Newstalk be on August 2nd.
