RTÉ Radio 1’s Drivetime with Mary Wilson will broadcast live from Athlone, Cork and Dublin for three live European Election debates on Tuesday 14th – Thursday 16th May.
There will also be live television debates, and this Sunday May 5 at 12 noon, RTÉ’s The Week in Politics features the second of three special programmes focused on the upcoming European Parliament elections.
Joining presenter Aine Lawlor live in studio to debate the issues this Sunday will be Sinn Féin’s Lynn Boylan MEP, Green Party’s Cllr Ciaran Cuffe, Fine Gael’s Mark Durcan, the Labour Party’s Cllr Alex White and Fianna Fáil’s Barry Andrews. The programme will also feature recorded contributions with other candidates in Dublin, along with analysis on the issues in the constituency.
Also this Sunday, RTÉ Radio 1’s This Week programme will broadcast the second in a series of special reports profiling each of the EU constituency contests. This week’s in-depth report by RTÉ’s Justin McCarthy will examine the major issues and interview candidates in Ireland South.
