Services operated by FM104, South East Radio, and East Coast Radio are secure for another ten years after a signing session by the BAI.
The three radio stations will continue for at least the next ten years, in their respective franchise areas of Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow.
Speaking at the contract signings, Bob Collins, Chairperson of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland said: “We are delighted to sign contracts today with FM104, South East Radio and East Coast Radio. The BAI’s Broadcasting Services Strategy envisages that the people of Ireland will be served by a vibrant broadcasting sector which provides content and programming that caters for and reflects diversity within Irish society.
“Each service signing a contract today has contributed greatly to that vibrant mix in their respective franchise areas in the past and I am confident that they will continue to offer a unique service which is attuned to the needs of their listeners into the future. The BAI wishes each contractor continued success in serving their audiences over the duration of the next contract period.”
