Businesses across the country are getting some extra promotion via RTÉ Radio 1 in the run up to Christmas, as the station re-introduces its Fiver Friday feature on the Liveline show.
The scheme asks people to spend an extra €5 with a local business, retailer or supplier to increase their turnover and save jobs. The campaign sees businesses offering a Fiver Friday deal, which they can post on the Radio 1 Facebook page for listeners to see.
The station’s also offering posters and artwork for businesses to use to show that they’re supporting the campaign on Friday 6th December.
Liveline presenter Joe Duffy says: “Spend an extra five locally and everyone is a winner. Fiver Friday will hopefully give a boost to local traders. Everyone can get involved and it is the simplest idea in the world.”
