Nova listener wins €3,700 on the Noise

Radio Nova’s recent competition the “Nova Noise” has made one listener €3,700 richer this week.

It’s the third time the competition has been run on the station, with the correct answer this time being a ‘plastic coat hanger banging against a door’, guessed on Wednesday afternoon.

Christine Wallace sent the Nova Noise into “lockdown” on Wednesday afternoon after calling the station to guess the noise, meaning she had to wait till the next morning to see if she had successfully identified the Noise. Just after 7am yesterday morning during the station’s ‘Morning Glory’ breakfast show, presenters Joan Lea and Marty Miller called Christine and announced that she had guessed correctly.

Radio Nova’s Assistant Programme Director Dave Alsybury said: “Each week the guesses were getting more and more outrageous, which made the competition a lot of fun… everyone you meet has an answer! Christine finally managed to crack it, and her nervousness and excitement on Morning Glory brought in a ton of well wishes from our listeners.”
