A number of RTÉ radio programmes are to be broadcast live from the 83rd National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co. Laois.
The broadcaster will be there with three days of programming and activity for the expected 200,000 visitors.
On Tuesday 23rd September, Morning Ireland kicks off the live outside broadcasts on Radio 1 for the first of two days on location, followed by Sean O’Rourke at 10am. At night, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta has a special trad session live on Cóisir Cheoil.
On Wednesday, Marty in the Morning will be on-air at the later time of 10am on lyric fm, and Rick O’Shea will be live from 2pm on 2fm. On Thursday, The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene will be live from 11am and Ploughing favourite Joe Duffy and the Liveline ‘Funny Thursday’ crew will provide a few laughs, live on RTÉ Radio 1.
