Beat presenters in Fairytale Festival challenge

Beat presenters have been getting in the mood for the upcoming Fairytale Festival by challenging each other to competitions on-air.

The station is asking primary schools to create a paint or picture with a fairytale theme or write a short story or a poem with a fairytale theme to win a €500 voucher for their school to spend on appropriate electronic equipment.

To highlight the event, Breakfast’s Niall challenged Vinny and Trish to their very own drawing competition, followed by Trish challenging Niall, and Darren from Beat at Work, to write a short story or poem. Listen to the result below.

The Fairytale Festival returns to Shankill Castle, Paulstown, County Kilkenny on Sunday July 23rd from Midday to 5pm.

Chief Executive of Beat 102-103 Gabrielle Cummins says she’s “delighted that Kilkenny County Council has come on board this year as event sponsor; it’s an ideal fit as this event showcases one of the county’s hidden gems and I’d encourage families from all five counties of the South East to come along and get involved in what is a truly magical fun, day outside for all the family.”
