Hugely successful local Limerick station Live 95FM have kicked off the new year with some exciting competitions for their loyal listeners.
The UTV-owned station are celebrating after yesterday’s JNLR book showed them to be the most popular station in Limerick, with six out of ten people in the area tuning in to them every week.
Kicking off January, Live 95FM gave away four sun holidays with €500 spending money, to the Algarve, Majorca, Lake Garda and Turkey, and next weekend – on Valentine’s Day – the station will bring 50 lucky listeners to a VIP screening of the much anticipated film ’50 Shades of Grey’, including a cocktail reception.
In the last few months, Limerick’s Live 95FM covered the Christmas Racing Festival, Limerick on Ice and the famous Jack and the Beanstalk Christmas Pantomime at UCH.
One lucky listener, Sandra Dempsey (pictured above), won €3,200 from the station by correctly guessing that the ‘Secret Celebrity’ was Alex Skarsgard. Over €6,000 of prizes were won during the ‘Secret Shopper’ competition in conjunction with the Crescent Shopping Centre, and with the people of Limerick’s help, the station’s ’95 Stop Tour’ raised over €86,000 for very worthy Limerick causes CARI, the Children’s Ark and Limerick’s neo-natal unit.
Joe Nash, Chief Executive of Live 95FM tells RadioToday: “We are delighted to maintain our position as the leading radio station in Limerick city and county. We are honoured to continue to serve the listeners of Limerick with a radio service that provides them with music, news, competitions, sport and chat that’s local to the core.
